Human Resources Sol-nanigans

The Human Resources (HR) department is committed to improving the overall employee experience, starting with the recruitment process and daily experience after an employee’s first day. As Edward L. Gubman observed in the Journal of Business Strategy, “the basic mission of human resources will always be to acquire, develop, and retain talent; align the workforce with the business; and be an excellent contributor to the business. Those three challenges will never change.”

Human Resources responsibilities are subdivided into three areas: individual, organizational, and career. Individual refers to helping employees find their purpose to make their best contribution to Solugen. Activities for individual development could include training and performance reviews. Organizational development focuses on new systems to successfully maximize business strategy. This could include but is not limited to, policies, procedures, and changes at Solugen. Lastly, career development includes matching talents to the most suitable job and career path within the organization.

Current Projects

The HR team is currently working on improving the onboarding process, hiring new talents for all departments, and updating Solugen’s policies and procedures. Other current tasks include finding new sources for training and development and acquiring information to improve Solugen’s culture. All of these tasks are important for employee engagement, wellness, and experience.

Future Projects

We are excited to bring new ideas while simultaneously being innovative and taking care of our employees. Future projects include partaking in new training opportunities, focusing on inhouse recruitment, and implementing applicant tracking systems. Most importantly, the HR department plans on the fusion of our brand with our culture. Doing so will assist in constructing and executing new initiatives and projects to engage employees.
